elf_movie_image_will_ferrellBeing a responsible adult doesn’t come as naturally as I’d like.

Oh, don’t get me wrong. I take care of my kids and my beautiful partner in the way I should. And of course their wellbeing is paramount.  But I’d love nothing more than to chuck the responsibilities of career and paying taxes to be able to write full time. I love telling stories.  I love making up plot twists and turns. I love combining complex themes into a tale worth reading.  The wonder of childhood is what keeps my writing fresh. Researching a good yarn is an unbelievable amount of fun for me. It’s all about asking questions.

You know. Like when we were kids.

My current career outside of writing is undergoing significant change at the moment and a lot is up in the air regarding job security, where I’ll be working and IF I’ll be working come the New Year. I’ve been going through the interview process and there are more to come.

In this economic climate, to find people interested in speaking to me is a very good thing.

But all this focus on adult concerns has dulled the child-like qualities I employ for the stories I tell. Inspiration has been replaced with perspiration, as it were.

I hope things return to some semblance of order soon. So I can get back to the wild-eyed passion of writing I enjoy. It’s gonna be a very interesting few months.

In the meantime, I’m still looking for submissions for the next couple of podcasts. Details are below.

Peace
